UCF Women's Soccer Club goes to National Quarterfinals for the first time

Last weekend, the UCF Women's Soccer Club attended the National Championships in Round Rock, Texas, and made club history.

Prior to the Championships, the club saw striking success throughout their season, only losing one game, said Serena Zarzana, president of the club and junior health sciences major.

"I think this season we had a pretty good season, and our team is really strong," Zarzana said. "I think we were expecting to make it pretty far to win almost all of our games.”

UCF Men's Water Polo Club finishes fourth place in final tournament

The air was tense at the Florida State University Recreation Center as the UCF Men's Water Polo Club came in fourth place in their final tournament of the season, losing two out of three games, on Saturday and Sunday.

The team had competed in two other tournaments this season at the University of Florida and at UCF.

Cold Open: UCF Ice Hockey Club suffers loss in home opener

Saddened fans flooded out of the Orlando Ice Den on Friday night after the UCF Ice Hockey Club fell to the University of Miami Ice Hockey Team in their season home opener, losing 8-5.

The UCF Ice Hockey Club has a legacy of National Tournament appearances, making it 10 times, as well as placing third twice, according to their official website. The team also has its own media team to help promote the club, as well as an Amazon wish list so that fans can help provide new equipment for the season.

Volunteer UCF 'springs into service' during their annual volunteer event

Volunteer UCF sent students to do volunteer work ranging from recycling mattresses to extracting weeds during their annual "Spring Into Service" event this Saturday.

"The point is to connect students with their outside community as well as on-campus," Jamie Consolino, Volunteer UCF's special events director, said. "Even if it's not for credit, we just want students to be as engaged as possible with volunteering."
